Opening its mouth for beta testers

Learn English by echoing people who already speak it.

Motty is a shadowing coach, not a textbook. Repeat real speech in real time, review words that actually stuck, and get told exactly what your mouth is doing wrong.

No spam. Just a note when Motty opens up.

How it works

Three habits, one loop, every day.

  1. 01

    Shadow real speech

Pick a video — a speech, an interview, a scene — and repeat it line by line, in rhythm with the speaker. That's shadowing: the fastest way to train your mouth, not just your memory.

  2. 02

    Review what actually stuck

Every word you look up gets saved with real translation and context — and comes back for review right before you'd forget it, not on a fixed schedule that ignores how your memory works.

  3. 03

Fix what your mouth is doing

Record yourself, and get feedback on the actual sounds — not just "try again." Motty breaks it down by syllable, so you know exactly which one needs work.

Motty the axolotl waving, happy to meet you

Meet Motty

An axolotl, on purpose.

Axolotls regrow what's damaged instead of scarring over it — which is exactly what happens to your accent when you practice the right way. And that fan of gills on the side of its head? That's an ear, more or less: it's built to listen closely and echo back. Feels like the right mascot for a method built on repeating what you hear.

Motty hasn't opened its mouth yet. Be there when it does.

Early access goes out in small batches, starting with everyone on this list.
